80-85% of Joshua's body was burned in Mid May 2009. His Mom says they can use a lot of prayers and cards. This young man was happy to know that people care that he recovers, so consider sending him a card to let him know you are one of them.
Update: November 25, 2009 One of our card writers let us know that Josh wrote back to her with a note that left her and and her husband speechless.
We let these guys know to focus on their recovery and not to feel obliged to write back but sometimes they do. We are happy he's feeling up to it for at least one of our writers. He made her day and hearing about it made ours! Keep healing Josh. We are cheering you on!
Update: December 8, 2009 from Mom - Josh is doing really well. He is wearing his compression garmets and the scarring is thinning. His spirits are good. He is living in the wounded warrior barracks and spends most of his days at the hospital visiting other injured marines.
The days following his accident were horrific, not knowing if he was going to live or die. I can't thank everyone enough for all the prayers. My family and friends immediately put us on their prayer chains and I know that that is the reason Josh is alive now. God is so awesome.
Thank you for all you do and I will continue to pray for all our marines.
