A mid-May IED blast in Afghanistan has seriously wounded LCpl. Joey. He sustained multiple injuries including many shrapnel wounds, tbi, a fracture to his eye socket, collapsed lung and severed artery in his knee. His family is with him as this recovery takes shape and would like to get cards and letters of support.
Please send them some sunshine.
Update: 7/17/2010 Joey has changed hospitals and has been working on rehab. He's been granted a 30 day recuperative leave to visit home while wounds heal and swelling subsides. He'll be doing rehab via a local hospital while he's home.
