Information and Updates for PFC Paul (PJ) Update: 8/6/2010 with 1/6 Weapons
Last Update: 8/6/2010             << Back to list

Operation PAL Participant PFC PJ was injured in an explosion in Afghanistan near the end of February and has sustained severe injuries to his arm and has shrapnel wounds. Please let him know you are out there and send him some good wishes.
Dad says President Obama visited this morning and awarded him his Purple Heart. He says "That was cool."
He'll be undergoing surgery this week to repair that arm so his healing can begin very soon.

Update: 3/1/2010 from Dad: I want to post an uplifting feel good update on how Well Pj is doing and how we all feel SO FORTUNATE that he's not horribly maimed and will be healed with a few simple surgeries on his arm. We truely believe our Prayers have already been answered. And for the President to visit the wounded warriors while he was getting his physical at Bethesda was a blessing as well.

Update: 4/7/2010 from Dad: PJ is doing well enough to get permission to visit home for a few weeks.
He's doing VERY WELL and just got his stitches out (80 something of them) He is slowly getting most of his range of motion back, which is great news, and
while home he was able to celebrate his brother's birthday with a night "out on the town".

Update: 8/6/2010 from Mom: PJ is recovering well and as such wants the cards to go to all the other Marines and Sailors who still need a lot of prayers. Kathy said your prayers definitely helped PJ during his healing. She added,"Thank you all very much for your cards and may God bless you always."
